Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages and guides are useful to readers (for example, how many people visit a page, roughly where visitors are coming from, and which devices they use). This is aggregate, statistical information — it is not used to identify you personally.
Comments
Commenting is open on articles. If you leave a comment, we collect the name and email address you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser information, which WordPress records automatically to help prevent spam. Your comment and name are shown publicly; your email address is never displayed publicly.
If the email address you use to comment has a Gravatar account associated with it, your Gravatar profile picture may appear next to your comment. Gravatar is a service operated by Automattic; its privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.
Images and site performance
Images on this site are served through Jetpack’s content delivery network (a service operated by Automattic) so that pages load faster. This means images may be requested from Automattic’s servers rather than directly from this site. This site also uses caching software to speed up page loads for visitors; this does not involve collecting personal information.
